FAQs & Camp Policies

We have compiled some of our "Frequently Asked Questions" and Camp Policies for all to review!

Is there a deposit due at registration this year?

Yes a $50 deposit is required for each camper week registered - non refundable after April 1, 2019.

When should my account be paid in full?

Cancellations and Refunds Policy.

We understand that life is busy and that things happen that can change your plans. We have outlined  information below:

  • Illness is an exception to this policy. Your fee will be refunded prorated to number of days your camper spent on property. If ill before camp please request a refund before the session. If you do not, we will not know to refund you. We will not refund a no-show to camp after the session has begun.

Camp Store Account Refund Policy.

  • Camp store funds are generally not returned.

Termination of the Camp Experience.

We do our best to make sure that every camper has a happy, safe, and successful summer at camp. However, sometime campers are not ready for camp this year and show it by violating the rights of other campers and staff. Examples of this are:

  • Threatening other campers and staff,
  • Being physically violent towards campers, staff, and animals who live at camp.
  • Stealing
  • Being in possession of Alcohol, tobacco and or drugs on camp property.
  • This list is not all exhaustive or binding

We as an intentional community will work as a team to help all campers who are struggling with conduct to be successful. The camp experience is all about learning and growing. But if our interventions starting with the cabin counselor, and ending with the camp director is unsuccessful, your camper may be sent home.

  • No refund is given for campers who are sent home.

What if my camper is homesick?

Homesickness is something some campers experience at camp. We as camp professionals will dedicate specialized training and will utilize proven methods that work with most campers.

  • You may receive a letter from your camper expressing how homesick they are. Please know that by the time that letter has reached you your camper has probably already moved beyond those feelings, and are enjoying their time.
  • Please feel free to contact the Camp Director to discuss any concerns that you may have!

Bedwetting?

We received many questions about this last summer, both before and during the summer. This is not an issue that can or would prevent your child from coming to camp. We specifically discuss this topic during staff training, and how to discreetly take care of this issue, while preserving the privacy and dignity of all.

The biggest help that you can give us as a team is to disclose this issue prior to camp starting so our staff can be aware and not let it develop into a problem. Often campers are embarrassed and try to hide it, this most times results in other campers becoming aware. Please discuss this with your child if this has ever been an issue in the past two years. If disclosed the counselor can take whatever methods you have found to useful at home and apply them to camp, allowing for a successful and happy summer..
