CORTLAND 4-H DAIRY RODEO!!!
SATURDAY, MAY 10TH
At 10:00 a.m. the dairy calf, will be waiting and ready to be introduced to their partners. Then the fun begins! Youth will learn how to prepare your animal for show! Wonderful volunteers and teens will be there to assist and help the youth with special interesting tips to help clip, groom, and improve the showing of their animal.
Each member is responsible to bring:
1) Bring a bag lunch – no glass bottles
2) A rope halter to tie up their animal
3) Show halter to use training and showing
4) Two (2) clean buckets (washing & drinking)
5) Hay for the animal
6) Hose, soap, brushes, and clippers

If you are attending from a 4-H Program from another county (or not a Cortland County 4-H member), there will be a $10 fee/youth, and you must provide an Acknowledgement of Risk Form.

DAIRY RODEO SCHEDULE
9:30 a.m.Arrive at Cortland County Fairgrounds to set up
10:00 a.m.Calves arrive
10:45 a.m.Showmanship clinic
11:00 a.m.Demonstration on clipping an animal
Clip, clean and train animal for show
4:00 p.m.Show (classes will be divided according to age & experience)
