ANIMAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT NYS FAIR ENTRY PROCEDURE – Deadline, Friday August 2

The 4-H Animal Science Team has created a checklist that can be printed or emailed to exhibitors for each species. It is our hope that this will help all youth & educators to know what needs to be done to participate in the NYS Fair.

***It is very important families use an e-mail that they check regularly and have access to.

All entries for the New York State Fair Animal Science Department 51 will be made by exhibitors at https://nysfys.fairwire.com/

New this year all entries will be done via NYS Fair only via ShoWorks

All youth Exhibitors must receive endorsement of a county 4-H Educator, FFA Advisor or Breed Organization Representative as permitted by the specific department. Any entry that does not receive endorsement will be scratched.

Exhibitors must meet all additional requirements set by that organization (i.e., membership, ownership, specific class requirements, etc.) as well as any animal health and registration requirements specified by their department superintendents and NYS Ag and Markets. Be sure to check the premium book for the requirements of each species and the NYS Youth Animal Science State Fair Entry Checklist to ensure all required documentation is submitted.

Exhibitors are responsible for emailing their entry receipt, along with any additional required paperwork/information to their County Educator and NY State Fair Specific Department Superintendent. WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION ONLINE

Camping - It is our understanding that after the youth enters, they will receive an e-mail that tells them how and where to register for a camper.
