What's Bugging You First Friday Virtual Presentations

  • Friday, September 2, 2022, 12:00 PM - 1:45 PM

Hi Everyone,

We are spreading the word about this virtual event we are hosting - Some quick background, this is an event that was launched in 2021 called What’s Bugging You First Friday. It is a monthly series of presentations that provide practical solutions to pest problems occurring in and around home, urban and small agricultural setups.

This is a free event taking place on first Friday of each month at 12pm.

The events are short, 30 minute sessions including a feature presentation and an IPM minute highlighting an action item to consider for the weekend ahead. Recording are made available on our YouTube playlist.

Early this year NEIPM center awarded funds for us to expand these series, including launching an Spanish version and a contest, The IPM and You Photo Contest. The goal is to significantly expand and diversify audiences 2022 and beyond, and to develop best practices guidelines for creating and disseminating an accessible, public-facing virtual series.

Back to this Friday. We are launching our first event in Spanish about Identification of common garden tomato diseases followed by the IPM Minute on Managing Squash Vine Borer. The event runs from 12:30-1:00pm right after the English portion.

We would to ask if you could help us passing this through your channels, we don’t expect a large group of people joining us, but the recording will be available and people would still be able to participate in the photo contest. Here is the link to the registration site and information about the event https://blogs.cornell.edu/nysipm/calendar_event/conozca-su-plaga/

And of course we would to extend the invitation to all you as well!

Muchas gracias!
