The Relatives As Parents Program - (RAPP)

RAPP is an education and support program for grandparents  and relatives who have taken on the role of primary caregiver for related children. RAPP provides:

  • Monthly support groups, educational seminars, and youth programs will be offered. 
  • Educational seminar topics may include: training to learn new parenting and coping skills, legal issues, living well, financial management, keeping kids safe, and working with the child's school. 
  • This free program is available to anyone who is the primary caregiver for a relative's child.

~Peer Support Group~

The Relatives As Parents program (RAPP) peer support group meets on the (2nd) Second Wednesday of each Month at 6 p.m.  The group will meet in the Cornell Cooperative Extension Cortland County office Room 140 of the County Office Building. 

Pre-Registration for the class is requested to ensure adequate materials 

and refreshments are available.
