Rural Landowner Workshop Hosted by Soil & Water Conservation District

Cortland County SWCD is hosting a free workshop for Cortland County rural landowners to celebrate Soil and Water Stewardship Week.

The workshop will focus on:  NATIVE PLANTS AND WHY THEY'RE IMPORTANT  presented by Water Quality Specialist Kathy McGrath.  All are welcome!

Presentations will include the following:

  • "An introduction to Native Plants"
  • "Plants, Bugs and Birds: How to Plant for Wildlife and Habitat"
  • "Getting Started, Getting Dirty"
  • Tour of the SWCD/Grange native plant garden

They will have native flower weeds and shrubs available to participants for as long as supplies last!
